At Dockside Window and Door, giving back to the community is at the heart of what they do. Travis and Rachel made a commitment to donate a portion of their profits each year to local charities. Our goal is not only to provide financial support but also to raise awareness for these important causes. Together, we believe we can make a positive impact and inspire others to join us in this mission.

Join us in our commitment to giving back! Each year, we proudly select a local charity or nonprofit organization in the DMV area to support. We'll spotlight their incredible work right here on our Giving Back page, highlighting the positive impact they have in our community. Together, let's make a difference!

In Honor of McKenzie Mollica

This year, our company is proud to support the Brain Tumor Institute at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.—a place that changed the course of our family’s life.

At age six, our oldest, McKenzie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Thanks to the care of everyone involved in her treatment at Children’s National, she not only is a survivor—she is thriving. Today, she’s 19 and a Junior at Flagler College.

We have donated to her race team in the Race for Every Child, which is hosted by Children's National Medical Center. Meet the Brain Tumor Trouncers!

Every dollar they raise goes directly to the Brain Tumor Institute at Children’s National Hospital—not to a general fund. This year, the donations will support a groundbreaking clinical trial using a first-in-human approach developed at Children’s.

Here’s how it works:
🧠 Using a custom pipeline, researchers identify protein targets unique to each child’s tumor.
🛡️ They then train and expand the child’s own immune cells to recognize those targets.
💥 These cells are infused back into the child to attack and kill tumor cells.

This personalized therapy offers hope where few options exist. But it requires infrastructure and innovation that traditional funding doesn’t cover.

This is why McKenzie participates and why we support them, in hopes that one day, they can find a cure for brain tumors. Every clinical trial is one step closer to a cure.
And every step taken in the Race for Every Child is for kids like McKenzie—and for the ones still fighting.
